The letters sent to the Mayor in July about containing comments and proposals on the Mall (July 2, 2008) and the variant of the "new" piedmont (July 17, 2008) have not received any response from the currently Municipal Administration.
The discussion on the topic on the agenda - "Respect for the environment and development" - has been postponed to next meeting. We felt it more urgent to reflect on the proposal, announced in recent days by the local press, the processing of Inter-foothills Association of Parma, involving the municipalities of Collecchio, Felino, Montechiarugolo, SalaBaganza Traversatolo and, in Union of Municipalities.In the coming months, the foothills of the Association of Mayors Conference will offer councils of the municipalities concerned the transformation of the association in the Union.
The group currently does not intend to put any comments or objections on the transformation to be implemented, taking for understanding that is based on criteria of improving the efficiency, effectiveness and cost reduction, but denounces the lack of information given on the initiative to the people of our town.
The process of implementing this important decision should not, in our view, regardless citizens from information that must be given within reasonable time, to allow time for discussion and response to any objections.
There seems correct, as sometimes happened in the past, that the inhabitants of the municipality are informed of the choices made by until shortly before or even after their final approval.
